Buying A Gun

Handguns: You must be at least 21 years of age to purchase a handgun or handgun ammunition from our store.

Long Guns (Including Rifles & Shotguns): You must be at least 18 years old to purchase a long gun or long gun ammunition from our store.

Residents: You must be a resident of Indiana to purchase a handgun from our store. You must be a resident of Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, or Ohio in order to purchase a long gun.

Eligibility: You are not eligible to purchase a firearm if you: Have been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year; Are a fugitive from justice; Are an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance; Have been adjudicated as a mental defective or has been committed to a mental institution; Are an alien illegally or unlawfully in the United states or an alien admitted to the United states under a nonimmigrant visa; Have been discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions; Having been a citizen of the United states, have renounced his or her U.S. citizenship; Are subject to a court order that restrains the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child of such intimate partner; or Have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence A person who is under indictment or information for a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding 1 year cannot lawfully receive a firearm.
